Violist Anne Ristorcelli was born in Nevada, USA, and started her musical studies at the age of 8. While still at school she played viola in several local orchestras, including sitting principal of both the Carson City Symphony and Reno Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. She also appeared as soloist with the Carson City Symphony, performing Telemann’s viola concerto.

Ms. Ristorcelli continued her studies at Oberlin Conservatory, where her teachers included Peter Slowik, Karen Ritscher, and John Kendall, who was the first American to study with Shinichi Suzuki in Japan. During her time there she helped form the Isis quartet. The quartet appeared frequently at regional venues and toured New York City and Washington DC. They also performed in masterclasses with the Emerson and Pacifica Quartet.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Music, Ms. Ristorcelli was awarded a teaching assistantship at the University of Colorado, where she continued her studies with Erika Eckert and Geraldine Walther.

After successfully completing her Master of Music, Ms. Ristorcelli joined the Reno Philharmonic and the Reno Chamber Orchestra. In 2009 she moved to Berlin to work as a freelance musician, and has performed both in orchestras and chamber music ensembles in Germany, Norway, Austria, Great Britain, and Italy.

Altiste, Anne Ristorcelli est née dans le Névada aux Etats-Unis d’Amérique.

Après un master de musique obtenu à l’université du Colorado et une licence de musique du conservatoire Oberlin, elle a joué avec l’orchestre symphonique de Fort Collins dans le Colorado, l’orchestre philharmonique et l’orchestre de chambre de Réno dans le Névada.

En tant que musicienne de chambre, mademoiselle Ristorcelli a joué avec le quartette Orelia et le quartette Isis à Boulder dans le Colorado, à Washington D.C., à Cleveland dans l’Ohio et à New York.

En 2009, elle s’est installée à Berlin comme musicienne indépendante où elle a joué avec l’orchestre Berliner Sibelius et à l’ambassade de Grande-Bretagne pour la célébration du mariage royal.

Anne est membre de la Helgeland Sinfonietta de Mosjoen, en Norvège et de l’orchestre de la vallée d’Itria de Martina Franca, en Italie.

Elle a joué dans des festivals de musique en France, en Allemagne, en Italie et en Angleterre.
